Bull goes berserk,injures woman near slaughterhouse

A woman is nursing injuries at a hospital in Tala town,Matungulu,Machakos county after she was attacked by a runaway bull near a slaughterhouse.

The incident was reported to police by Michael Ngau, the chairman of Tala Cattle Market.

Ngau told police that he was driving a bull from Kwa Matingi area to Tala Slaughter House when it suddenly turned violent as they approached the facility.

The bull reportedly broke loose and charged towards the direction of Baraka Hotel.

In the process, the animal hit Regina Kavemba, a resident of Tala town leaving her with a dislocated left shoulder and soft tissue injuries.

The victim was rushed to Bahati Hospital, where she was admitted in stable condition.

Police said the bull disappeared after the incident and its whereabouts remain unknown as a search operation continues.
