A businessman from Ol Kalou has reported to police that he was abducted by armed assailants, tortured,shaved by a woman and later dumped in Mai Mahiu before being rescued by members of the public.
According to Police at Mai Mahiu Police Station in their report early today morning, they stated that the victim, identified as Kenneth Njuguna Njohi, told them that the incident occurred on Friday evening at around 7pm in Ol Kalou town.
Njohi, who was accompanied to the station by three other men, alleged that his abductors were using three vehicles.
He said the attackers blocked his vehicle before three armed men alighted from one of the cars and fired several shots in the air.
The gang allegedly forcefully removed him from his vehicle and bundled him into a white Toyota vehicle of unknown model before speeding off, with the other two vehicles trailing behind.
He further claimed that upon reaching the Ndumberi area, the abductors blindfolded and handcuffed him before removing him from the vehicle.
According to the report, other individuals, including a woman, joined the group and shaved his hair before he was subjected to a beating.
The victim told police he was later bundled back into the vehicle and abandoned at Karima area in Mai Mahiu, where members of the public reportedly rescued him and assisted him in making the report to police.
Police said the Officer Commanding Station (OCS) Ol Kalou was contacted and confirmed the incident.
