GBV WATCH:Love triangle suspected as man suffers serious throat injury in Rabai

A 48 year-old man is fighting for his life at Mariakani Hospital after he was found with a deep cut wound on his throat in Kokotoni area, Rabai Kilifi County.

According to a report booked at Kokotoni Police Post yesterday night,the victim identified as Juma Angular Martin was discovered lying injured at around 8:30pm on Monday night.

A police officer who was on duty at the time, reportedly heard a woman screaming for help and quickly rushed to the scene.

Upon arrival, he found the victim in the company of an unidentified man and woman who immediately fled from the area before they could be apprehended.

Police said the circumstances surrounding the assault remain unclear, and the person responsible for inflicting the injury has not yet been identified.

Preliminary investigations, however, suggest the incident may be linked to a suspected love triangle.

The victim was rushed to Mariakani Hospital where he remains admitted in serious condition as investigations continue.
