DNK International A domestic dispute at Kware center in Matuu Matungulu Sub-County, Machakos County has ended in tragedy after a man killed his wife during a violent altercation early today.
According to a police report filed at KBC Police Station, the incident was reported at around 7:30 a.m. by Matuu Sublocation Assistant Chief Emmanuel Muinde after members of the public alerted him of the attack.
Police officers who rushed to the scene found that Gideon Mutua had assaulted and killed his wife, Jackline Mbeke, following a domestic disagreement at their home.
Investigators said the deceased sustained a deep cut on the forehead and another serious injury on her right hand believed to have been inflicted using a sharp object.
The suspect was also found with serious head injuries and was immediately arrested before being escorted to Kangundo Hospital for treatment under police guard.
The body of the deceased was moved to Kangundo Mortuary awaiting postmortem examination as detectives from DCI Matungulu launched investigations into the murder incident.
