Police Arrest Suspected Phone Snatchers in Kabete

Two suspected phone snatchers believed to have been terrorizing members of the public in Nairobi’s N Market area have been arrested during a police operation conducted by officers from Kabete Police Station.

The operation according to police was mounted at about 9:00 p.m. yesterday following a tip off from members of the public.

They arrested a boda boda operator identified as Joseph Njuguna and his alleged accomplice, Bravin Magita.

Police said the duo is suspected of being involved in a series of phone-snatching and theft incidents within the N Market area.

A thorough search conducted during the arrest reportedly led to the recovery of a kitchen knife believed to have been in their possession.

The suspects have been placed in police custody pending further investigations and legal action.

Police also detained a motorcycle, registration number KMFC 246J, which is believed to have been used in the commission of the alleged crimes.
Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
