Malala woes in DCP widens

By Our Correspondent,Nairobi

The controversy surrounding DCP Deputy Party Leader Cleophas Malala continued to deepen today after Kirinyaga Senator Kamau Murango accused the former Kakamega senator of abusing his position as the party’s second-in-command.

Speaking on Inooro TV, Senator Murango alleged that Malala has been soliciting money from aspirants at the DCP headquarters while promising them direct party tickets.

The allegations come just days after Malala clarified that he remains the Deputy Party Leader of the DCP.

He was also present at the Milimani High Court during the ruling on the impeachment case involving DCP Party Leader Rigathi Gachagua.

Murango joins a growing list of DCP founding members who have publicly criticized Malala’s leadership.

Malala was previously dismissed from his position as Secretary-General of the ruling UDA party amid similar allegations.
