DNK International United Opposition leaders Kalonzo Musyoka, Eugene Wamalwa and Martha Karua today attended a Gen Z memorial service at Nairobi Baptist Church, where they pledged to make June 25 a public holiday should they assume power.
The leaders said the proposed holiday would serve as a national day of remembrance to honor the young Kenyans who participated in the anti-Finance Bill protests and those who lost their lives during the demonstrations.
Speaking during the memorial service, the opposition figures described June 25 as a significant date in Kenya’s democratic journey and vowed to ensure that future generations remember the sacrifices made by Gen Z activists in their push for accountability and better governance.
