Iranian Embassy in Nairobi to Hold Commemoration Ceremony Honouring Grand Ayatullah Sayyid Ali Khamenei

The Cultural Council of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Nairobi has invited Kenyans to attend a commemoration ceremony in honour of Grand Ayatullah Sayyid Ali Khamenei.

In a public invitation, the Cultural Council said the event will provide an opportunity for members of the public to pay their respects and reflect on his life, service, and legacy.

The ceremony is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Cultural Council, Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, located on the 7th Floor, Parklands Plaza, Chiromo Lane, Westlands, Nairobi.

According to the invitation, a condolence book will also be available for members of the public wishing to sign and convey their messages of sympathy.

The Embassy has encouraged all Kenyans of goodwill to attend the event as a gesture of respect, solidarity, and remembrance.
