The families of three men who allegedly disappeared in separate incidents in June have moved to the High Court, seeking urgent orders to compel the Inspector General of Police, Douglas Kanja, to account for their whereabouts through a habeas corpus application.
Addressing journalists at the Milimani Law Courts, lawyer Abner Mango said the application was filed before Justice Kanyi Kimondo and seeks the production of Michael Oloo, Evans Otieno and Macmillan Mungo, who are said to have been abducted between June 19,2026 and June 26, 2026.
The families are asking the court to direct the Inspector General to personally explain what is known about the three men’s whereabouts and produce them before the court, whether alive or dead.
Former LSK President Faith Odhiambo said the application follows allegations that the three were seized by unidentified men dressed in black, after which they have not been seen again.
The matter is now before Justice Kanyi Kimondo, who is expected to issue directions as the families seek judicial intervention to establish the fate of their missing relatives.
