Ninteen Chinese nationals arrested in connection with alleged cybercrime offences were deported from Kenya on Friday in a joint operation involving the DCI and the Department of Immigration.
According to police, the group comprised 18 men and one woman.
They had been under investigation over alleged cybercrime related offences reportedly committed in Kenya and in their home country.
The deportees boarded China Southern Airlines Flight CZ6044 at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) at 3:50 p.m. under the supervision of security and immigration officers.
Police said the deportation process was completed without any security incidents.
It was not immediately clear whether the suspects will face prosecution upon their arrival in China.
