Police Officer Hospitalised After Security Dog Attack at KICC

A police officer attached to the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) was hospitalised on Sunday night after being attacked and bitten by a security dog while on duty.

The incident occurred at about 10:30pm on July 19 at Exit A of KICC along City Hall Way.

According to a police report, Corporal Jared Angola, an officer attached to the Security of Government Buildings (SGB) unit, was attacked by a security dog belonging to Crime Shield Ltd.

The officer sustained injuries to his right leg and was immediately rushed to Nairobi West Hospital, where he was admitted and receiving treatment.

Police at KICC have launched investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
