Two Casual Workers Hacked to Death, Another Critically Injured in Kiambu

Police have launched investigations after two casual workers were brutally killed and another seriously injured in an early morning attack at a residential compound in Kiambu East Sub-county.

According to police, the incident occurred at Mukumo Drive along Njadhaini Road, where a former caretaker, identified as Moses Kinyua Kigera attacked three sleeping casual workers using a knife, a hacksaw and a hammer.

The suspect, who had reportedly been dismissed from his caretaker duties over disciplinary issues, is alleged to have killed two of the workers on the spot.

The deceased were identified only as Ken and Muchiri.
A third victim, identified as John, sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Kiambu Level Five Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

Police officers, accompanied by detectives and Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) personnel, visited and processed the scene before the bodies were transferred to Kiambu Level Five Hospital Mortuary pending post-mortem examinations.

The motive behind the attack has not yet been established, and detectives from DCI Kiambu East have commenced investigations to trace the suspect and establish the circumstances surrounding the killings.
