A section of professionals from the Nyanza region have expressed concern over the political strategy being employed by People’s Prosperity Party leader Eliud Owalo, saying it is becoming increasingly difficult to market his presidential bid ahead of the 2027 General Election.
The group claimed that Owalo has largely focused on appearing on radio and television talk shows instead of holding public rallies and engaging directly with wananchi to explain his policies, manifesto and vision for the country.
According to the professionals, the perceived lack of grassroots mobilisation has made it challenging for supporters to popularise his candidature.
They further indicated that they are considering shifting their support to Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna’s Linda Mwananchi movement and the wider United Opposition coalition.
Owalo was not immediately available for comment on the claims.
