Sidai Mourns Brother and Sister Who Died in Mombasa Boat Tragedy

Vincent Sidai, a Linda Mwananchi aspirant for the Busia gubernatorial seat in the 2027 elections, has mourned the deaths of Ken Okomol, an MCA aspirant for Malaba South Ward, and his sister, Wakili Cynthia, who tragically died in a boat drowning incident in Mombasa.

Sidai described the deaths of the two siblings from Kodedema as a devastating loss to their family, friends and the wider Teso community.
“My heart is deeply broken by the tragic loss of Ken Okomol and his beloved sister, Wakili Cynthia, from Kodedema, who tragically lost their lives in the Indian Ocean in Mombasa,” Sidai said.

He sent his heartfelt condolences to the Okomol family, relatives and friends, as well as the people of Kodedema, the Teso community and Busia County at large.

“Losing two young lives from the same family is a pain that words can hardly describe,” he said.

Sidai prayed for strength and comfort for the bereaved family, asking God to wipe away their tears during what he described as an unimaginable period of grief.

“May Ken and Cynthia rest in eternal peace. May God grant the Okomol family strength during this darkest hour,” he added.
