DNK International A 23-year-old man has brutally been stabbed to death following a violent altercation over a woman in Kawangware 56,Nairobi.
The occurence of the incident was booked at Muthangari Police Station today.
Violet Kanyaya,the mother of the deceased and a resident of Soko Mjinga, told police that she received distressing information from her daughter, Sharon Nasambu, at around 11:30 a.m., informing her that her son, Silus Nyongesa Wanjala, had died.
Police officers from Muthangari Police Station, accompanied by DCI officers from Dagoretti, rushed to the scene where they found the lifeless body of Wanjala lying on the ground.
Preliminary investigations established that the deceased had been involved in a heated disagreement with a suspect over a woman who works at a club within Madiaba area.
The disagreement quickly escalated into a physical fight.
During the confrontation, the suspect identified only as Simon allegedly stabbed the deceased several times before fleeing the scene.
He left him critically injured.
Members of the public attempted to rush the victim to hospital, but it was later confirmed that he had succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
His body was moved to City Mortuary, where it awaits a post mortem examination.
Police have launched a manhunt for the suspect as investigations continue.
