Bandari Football Club Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Tony Kibwana has confirmed they will unveil a new technical coach next week.
He said it was just a matter of time before the club makes the announcement.
“We will officially break the news after our weekend fixture against Kakamega Homeboyz FC to be played at Mbaraki Sports Club in Mombasa county,” he pointed out.
Kibwana said they were in the process of acquiring a new team head coach which has already been finalized.
He confirmed this during a telephone interview on the club’s fate beginning this new year.
The club’s CEO) said they are in the last stage of the process before they make the announcement officially.
He added that it’s true the club will get the coach from one of the Kenya Premier League teams.
“Apart from unveiling the new technical coach, we will also unveil new players for the club,” he pointed out.
Meanwhile, the club goal keeper trainer Razar Siwa who has been handling the club’s last assignment as acting coach as they are out to collect three points from Kakamega Homeboyz FC on Saturday.
Kakamega Homeboyz are in third place in the Kenya Premier League standing table with 24 points after playing 15 matches while the hosts are currently in 13th position with 17 points after playing 14 matches.
He told media that they had agreed with his players to keep physically fit during their festive season break.
“All players are back and are physically fit,”he said.
Siwa said he is optimistic they will overcome the hurdles beginning this new year.
Since Raza took over from foreign technical coach, Moroccan Mohamed Borji and his deputy Tarik Bendamou, he has drawn in two matches and won in one during the fixtures played.
