AIPS Condemns Unprofessional Conduct by Journalists at AFCON 2025 Final Press Conference

The International Sports Press Association (AIPS) has condemned the unprofessional behaviour of some journalists during the post-match press conference at the AFCON 2025 final in Morocco.

Through its Executive Committee, which met yesterday, AIPS strongly criticised the conduct of colleagues who disrupted the post-match press conference of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final between Morocco and Senegal in Rabat, preventing it from proceeding smoothly on Sunday, January 18.

“Our Association cannot accept that certain colleagues could tarnish the dignity of our profession. We have therefore asked our colleagues at AIPS Africa to provide a detailed report on the incident,” the statement said.
