Kisumu Woman Representative Ruth Odinga has said that she is aware money has been poured to remote control the Orange Democratice Movement (ODM) party.
She added those behind the funds want to micro manage the party using remote control.
“They want the party to move within their own schedule,” she said.
Ruth said funds from outside are causing division within the party with those calling the shots wanting to control it.
She was speaking during a talk show where she pointed an accusing finger at those who claim the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga family wants to tear the party apart.
The Kisumu Woman Representative said it is wrong to drag Jaramogi Oginga’s family’s name into the chaos in ODM.
Ruth said she knows where the problem in ODM problem is coming from pointing out that it is from outside forces pouring money to remote control party affairs.
She told the hosts of the show that as far as she is concerned there is nothing wrong with the views aired over ODM affairs.
“East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) MP Winnie Odinga has a democratic right to comment on party matters,” she said.
The Kisumu Woman Representative downplayed what was going on in ODM arguing that it is healthy in a democracy.
She further said there is no turmoil in ODM and accused the media of negative publicity.
“Whatever is currently going on in ODM is democratically healthy,”she pointed out.
The Kisumu Woman Representative argued that differences in opinion within the party does not mean there is a crisis.
“Whatever is going on with in the party is normal and it is bound to happen in a democracy,” she said.
Ruth said there is no big deal within Raila and Oburu family that required an extra force to calm down the heat.
