Midnight Chaos at Mukuuni Boys as Senior Students Storm Out, Leave Juniors Behind.

A wave of unrest erupted at Mukuuni Boys Secondary School in Chuka South, Tharaka Nithi County, in the early hours of today after hundreds of senior students went on a rampage and abandoned the school compound.

According to a report recorded at Kibugua Police Station at 2:45am, the school principal alerted police that Form Three and Form Four students, estimated at about 400, had violently protested by smashing dormitory window panes using stones before forcefully leaving the school.

The students reportedly stormed out of the institution, leaving behind Grade 10 learners, raising concerns over their safety and the extent of damage caused during the chaos.

Officers from Kibugua Police Station, led by the Officer Commanding Station (OCS), immediately responded to the incident and proceeded to the school.

Police were still on the ground by the time of filing this report, with more details expected as investigations and assessments continue.

Authorities are yet to establish the cause of the unrest as efforts continue to restore calm and account for all students.
