Speaking in Makhonge during the funeral service of the late Eliud Wasige, the Governor emphasized that his administration is focused on leaving behind a strong legacy anchored on tangible projects and service delivery.
Lusaka said leaders who are preoccupied with political battles were free to pursue their interests, but he would remain committed to transforming Bungoma through meaningful development initiatives.
โThose interested in politics of witch-hunt can go ahead, but as a leader who has been around, I will concentrate on development and delivering for the people,โ he said.
The Governor described the late Wasige who was his brother-in-law as a dedicated family man and community member whose contribution to society would be remembered by many.
He called on residents to uphold unity and support one another during moments of grief.
The funeral ceremony brought together leaders, family members, and residents from across the county who turned up to pay their last respects.
