Coast:Security sweep arrests notorious gang members

The ongoing security operation targeting criminal gangs in Kenya’s Coast Region has recorded another major breakthrough following the arrest of three notorious suspects linked to violent crime.

Acting on actionable intelligence, a team of security officers from Kwale County raided a residence in the Denyenye area of Ng’ombeni, where Bakari Idi Raisi (19) and Daudi Munye Mandu (18) were arrested.

The two are alleged members of the infamous Panga Boys gang, which has been terrorizing members of the public along the Dongo Kundu Bypass and the Likoni–Ukunda Road.

The suspects are currently being held at Kwale Police Station pending further investigations.

In a separate operation in Kilifi County, security officers arrested Joshua Ngala Hinzano, alias Goliath, at Tangini Village, Madamani, Ganze.

The suspect had reportedly been on the run in connection with a triple murder case in Malindi.

All three suspects are undergoing processing as investigations continue.

Authorities have reaffirmed their commitment to sustaining the security operation across the Coast Region with the aim of dismantling criminal networks and enhancing public safety.
