A Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) officer has been re-arrested in connection with an alleged case of obtaining money by false pretences, police have confirmed.
According to a report filed at Ogembo Police Station yesterday evening the officer Wycliffe Mose Onwonga of the Kenya Defence Forces was re-arrested by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Gucha, after being presented by Military Police from Gilgil.
The arrest follows a complaint initially lodged by Eucabeth Nyanchama alleging that the suspect obtained money by false pretences.
Investigations were previously conducted and the file forwarded to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) for perusal.
The ODPP subsequently recommended that the suspect be charged.
Police say the suspect is currently in custody and is expected to be arraigned at Ogembo Law Courts today.
