Police in Kabras West,Kakamega county have launched investigations after unknown thieves broke into PAG Church in Samitsi area and stole several items including cash and equipment.
According to a report filed at Samitsi Police Post today morning, the incident was reported by Veronica Chiniali,the secretary of the Church.
Chiniali told police that the suspects broke into the church on the night of March 8 and 9, 2026 at an unknown time.
The thieves reportedly gained entry by breaking the outer padlock before making away with several items belonging to the church.
Among the items stolen were a keyboard, cash amounting to Sh20,000, seventeen plastic chairs, a smartphone, assorted clothes, six blankets, a gas cooker, 40 kilograms of dry maize, wall paint and three large cooking pots (sufurias).
Police officers visited the scene, processed and documented it as investigations into the incident continue.
The total value of the stolen items is yet to be determined.
No arrests have been made so far as detectives pursue leads to identify the perpetrators.
