Police in Sibanga, Trans Nzoia County, have arrested four suspects and recovered several stolen items following a burglary at the home of a Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) officer in Panda Nane area.
According to a police report made at Sibanga Police Station today,the incident was reported by Barrister Soita, a KDF officer and resident of Panda Nane in Sinyereri Location.
The officer informed police that his house had been broken into on March 11, 2026 at an unknown time.
Officers from the station visited the scene where preliminary investigations revealed that the main house door had been forced open after the burglars cut the padlock.
Among the items reported stolen were a fridge, a 6kg gas cylinder, a 32-inch Samsung television set, three red 6×6 mattresses, assorted utensils, two pairs of military boots (black and brown), a Kenya Army uniform consisting of a trouser and shirt, assorted clothes, a title deed and a vehicle logbook.
Acting on a tip off from members of the public, police arrested four suspects identified as Alvin Mogeni, 23, Antony Masika, 25,Wisley Saenyi, 30 and Oscah Mukwana 35.
A search conducted at the suspects’ houses led to the recovery of several items believed to have been stolen during the burglary.
The recovered exhibits include one red 6×6 mattress, a military blanket bearing a service number, a jeans trouser, a 6kg K-Gas cylinder, a broken padlock and a black half coat.
Police said investigations are ongoing to trace additional suspects and recover more stolen property while efforts are also underway to verify ownership of the recovered items.
All four suspects have been placed in custody at Sibanga Police Station awaiting arraignment in court, while the recovered exhibits have been secured as evidence.
