By Our Reporter,Nairobi.

Presidential aspirant in 2027 Eliud Owalo today attended a church service at the Nomiya Church Nairobi Diocese in Eastleigh, where prayers were offered for Kenyan families affected by floods, hunger, and famine currently facing different parts of the country.

During the service, congregants prayed for victims of the ongoing floods in parts of Nairobi and other regions experiencing food shortages due to prolonged drought conditions.

While addressing the congregation, Owalo called for support for his bid, saying the high cost of living facing many Kenyans is largely driven by corruption and heavy taxation.

He pledged that if elected president, he would focus on reducing taxes and intensifying the fight against corruption.

Owalo further stated that his leadership would prioritize working with transformational leaders and strengthening economic value chains to boost the country’s economy and improve livelihoods.

He also attributed the frequent flooding witnessed in Nairobi to what he described as failed leadership, adding that leaders must act within the confines of the law when addressing national challenges.

According to Owalo, Kenya’s political liberation has largely been achieved, but economic liberation remains the key challenge that his leadership intends to address if elected.

The Sunday service was conducted by the Rural Dean Solomon Ondoro, who led the congregation in prayers and reflections.
