Ruto Launches Yala Housing Project, Renews Attack on Gachagua as He Eyes Second Term

President William Ruto on Saturday officially presided over the groundbreaking ceremony for the Yala Affordable Housing Project in Yala Township Ward, Gem Constituency, Siaya County.

The project, part of the Boma Yangu Initiative, is expected to deliver sustainable housing units, expand home ownership, and stimulate local economic growth under the government’s broad-based development agenda.

“This transformative project will not only provide decent housing but also create jobs and boost the local economy,” said the President.

During the event, President Ruto also renewed his scathing attack on his former Deputy President, Rigathi Gachagua—now the DCP leader—saying he will continue exposing him and deal with him decisively.

Addressing residents who expressed support for his leadership, the President exuded confidence in securing a second term in next year’s general election, citing his administration’s development track record.
