Night Crackdown Nets 35 Suspected Muggers in Ruiru

A night operation yesterday by police led to the arrest 35 suspected muggers and petty offenders in Ruiru,Kiambu county.

The incident was booked at Gatongora police station today morning and it was conducted across several crime prone areas within the station’s jurisdiction.

The multi agency patrol covered Rainbow, Karuguru, Mitikenda, and the Kamakis Bypass.

All 35 suspects were expected to be arraigned in court today.

Police command in the area said that the operation forms part of an ongoing crackdown aimed at curbing rising cases of mugging and other petty crimes in the region.

Police have assured residents that similar operations will continue to enhance security and restore public confidence.
