Police raid in Luanda uncovers suspected stolen Phones, One Arrested

Police in Luanda,Vihiga County, have arrested a suspect following a raid on a phone repair shop linked to possession of suspected stolen electronic devices.

Officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Luanda, acting on information, conducted an operation at a shop identified as Techno Shop located within Luanda Market.

During the raid yesterday evening they recovered a range of items including an HP laptop, a soldering machine, and 21 mobile phones,some intact and others dismantled into parts.

The nature and condition of the devices raised suspicion that they could be stolen or illegally acquired.

The shop operator, identified as Rasto Mulembo, was arrested at the scene.

Police documented all recovered items as exhibits in an official inventory to support ongoing investigations.

The suspect is currently in police custody awaiting further processing as investigations continue.
