Bible verse of the day:And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it- Mathew 16:18

By Pastor Vincent Roy Agoya

Jesus declares His authority over His Church. The Church is not built merely on human ability, resources, personalities, or strategies. Christ Himself is the foundation, and what He builds cannot be ultimately defeated by the forces of darkness.

Notice the promise: **the gates of Hades will not overcome it. This means the enemy may attack, resist, and oppose, but opposition does not have the final word. When Christ is building, His purposes will stand.

This is also a personal encouragement. Whatever God is building in your life—your faith, calling, family, ministry, or destiny—remain anchored in Christ. Do not allow temporary battles to make you abandon eternal purpose.

Stand firm. Pray. Keep obeying God’s Word. Keep building with Christ.

Refuse to retreat because of opposition. Stand on Christ, keep building, and declare today: “The gates of Hades will not overcome what Jesus is building!”
