Let the day perish wherein I was born, and the night in which it was said, There is a man child conceived— Job 3:3
Job’s words reveal the depth of human pain. He was not speaking fro
m comfort but from a place of overwhelming suffering. Sometimes, when pain becomes intense, we may wish we could erase the very chapter of life that brought us into the struggle.
But Job’s anguish did not mean his story was finished. His suffering was real, but it was not his final destination. There are seasons when you may not understand what God is doing, yet you must resist allowing pain to define your future.
You may grieve. You may cry. You may ask questions. But do not surrender your hope.
Your darkest chapter is not your entire story.
Today, give God the pain you cannot explain. Refuse to make permanent decisions from temporary despair. Hold on to God—your story is still being written.
