The EACC has arrested Lilian Nelima Buluma, a teacher at Friends School Kamusinga Boys High School in Bungoma County, over allegations of soliciting bribes from unemployed teachers in exchange for facilitating their recruitment by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).

Lilian was arrested on Monday following complaints that she had demanded Sh100,000 each from three unemployed teachers, totalling to Sh300,000.

Preliminary investigations indicate that she had received Sh150,000 through M-Pesa.

The suspect reportedly claimed to have connections within the TSC and other government offices that could help secure employment for the complainants.

She was processed at the EACC Western Regional Office and booked at Bungoma Police Station pending the conclusion of investigations.
