The Institution of Surveyors of Kenya (ISK), led by President Erick Nyadimo and Deputy President Nelly Mbugua, has launched the ISK Student Portal during the inaugural ISK Students’ Conference at the Chandaria Centre for Performing Arts, University of Nairobi.
The digital platform is designed to create a structured link between academic training and employment opportunities in the surveying, geospatial and real estate sectors.
The Thursday conference brought together hundreds of students, lecturers, public sector officials and leading technology providers under the theme, “Beyond the Classroom: Preparing Students for the Future of Geospatial and Real Estate.”
The landmark forum seeks to bridge the gap between classroom instruction and the rapidly changing demands of the job market by exposing students to emerging technologies, industry trends and career opportunities.
ISK said the conference will now become an annual tradition, providing a platform for students, academia and industry players to interact and prepare learners for the future of the geospatial and real estate professions.
