Court issues arrest warrant for former company Director over Sh356 Million theft

By Johnson Njenga.

A Milimani has issued a warrant of arrest against Honey Hatwani, a former director of Oki General Trading Ltd, after he failed to appear in court for the mention of a case in which he is accused of allegedly stealing Sh356 million from the company.

Hatwani is charged with stealing the money from Oki General Trading Ltd, a company based in Baba Dogo, Nairobi.

The prosecution alleges that between January 2020 and June 2024, Hatwani stole the money by virtue of being an employee of the company.

He was required to appear before the court on Thursday for the mention of the case but failed to attend, prompting the court to issue a warrant for his arrest.

The warrant will remain in force until Hatwani is arrested and presented before the court to explain his absence and proceed with the criminal case.
