Multi-Agency crackdown nets suspect,recovers suspected criminal gear in Kitale.

A coordinated multi-agency security operation in Trans Nzoia County has led to the arrest of a suspected criminal operative and the recovery of numerous items believed to be linked to organized gang activities.

Officers drawn from the Kenya Police,DCI and a special team from Nairobi conducted a targeted operation yesterday in the Kipsongo area within Trans Nzoia West Sub-County.

During the operation, one suspect, identified as Andrew Kimongoi, was arrested.

A subsequent search of his residence yielded a large assortment of branded reflector jackets, stickers, and other materials associated with various organizations, political groups, and institutions.

Authorities suspect the items may have been used to facilitate criminal activities or impersonation.

Among the recovered exhibits were:
22 “Tawe Movement” branded stickers
127 “Mogo” branded half jackets
Several branded reflector jackets linked to organizations including DAP Kenya, UDA, NTSA, KeNHA, EACC, AA Driving School, and the Boda Boda Safety Association of Kenya
Jackets bearing names of political figures and initiatives, including Allan Chesang and Yona Sakaja
Assorted branded gear from entities such as Watu Credit, Parepesa, Twiga Chemicals, and Health Right

Also recovered were crude weapons, including a panga, two swords, and a Maasai sword.

Police have indicated that an inventory of all recovered items has been completed and secured as exhibits.

The suspect is expected to face multiple charges, including preparation to commit a felony, possession of suspected stolen property, and membership in an organized criminal group.
Investigations remain ongoing as authorities seek to establish the full extent of the suspect’s activities and any possible accomplices.
