Nyali parliamentary aspirant Elkana Jacob has embarked on a series of visits to community elders as part of his early consultations ahead of the 2027 general election.
On Friday, Jacob visited Mzee Kapasi Muyambo Munga at his residence in Timboni, Ziwa La Ng’ombe Ward, where he sought blessings and engaged in discussions on leadership and community development.

During the visit, Jacob emphasized the continued importance of elders in society, noting their role in promoting cohesion and stability at the grassroots level.
“Elders continue to play a vital role in promoting peace, unity and security within our communities,” he said.

Jacob also revealed that he received counsel and guidance from another elder, Mzee Charo Baya, describing the interactions as insightful and valuable in shaping his political journey.
The aspirant’s engagements come at a time when early political mobilization is gradually gaining momentum in coastal regions, with hopefuls reaching out to key community figures in efforts to build support bases ahead of the polls.

Elders in the region are often regarded as influential voices in shaping public opinion, particularly at the community level, where cultural respect and traditional authority remain significant.
Jacob’s visits are expected to continue in the coming months as he intensifies his groundwork in Nyali constituency.
