Uchaguzi 2027/319 days:Gachagua raises debt, governance concerns in Dallas

By Our Correspondent,Dallas.

Former Deputy President and DCP leader Rigathi Gachagua has said Kenyans in Dallas, Texas, share growing concerns over Kenya’s governance, constitutionalism and rising debt burden.

Speaking after meeting members of the Kenyan Diaspora Caucus, Gachagua questioned what he described as excessive spending on public relations initiatives while Kenyans continue to face economic challenges.

He called for greater transparency and accountability, particularly over debt servicing, saying the country must confront difficult economic choices and agree on a clear direction.

Gachagua said the diaspora remains an important partner in Kenya’s development and pledged to continue engaging Kenyans living abroad on issues affecting the country including 2027 general election maintaining that the opposition bid to defeat President William Ruto at the ballot next year is unstoppable.
