A six months old baby has been defiled to death in Githurai,Kiambu county.
Following the heinous act the local police commander has launched investigations into the incident.
According to a report filed at Githurai Kimbo Police Station,the case was reported by deceased the father.
He stated that his baby daughter YYY was rushed to Githurai Lang’ata Health Centre with a swollen abdomen and bleeding from her private parts.
Tragically, the infant was pronounced dead while receiving medical attention.
Police officers, led by the Officer Commanding Station (OCS) and detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Githurai, visited the scene at Manguo area.
Preliminary findings from medical personnel indicated that the child had been sexually assaulted.
