DNK International The politically quiet former Mungiki chairman Maina Njenga has been called upon by a section of his supporters to shift his politics from Laikipia County to Nairobi.
Njenga, popularly known as “Ndovu,” has repeatedly failed to capture elective seats for Laikipia west MP and Laikipia Senator in past elections under KANU.
His supporters are now pushing him to contest in Embakasi North, where current MP John Gakuya has declared interest in the gubernatorial race.
Others are advising him to vie in Dagoretti South, citing claims that the popularity of area MP John Kiarie is dwindling.
Njenga is said to command a sizeable support base in both constituencies.
