Rev. Maina wa OTC yesterday officially joined the league of senior clerics after he was elevated to the office of Bishop during a colorful consecration ceremony held at the Born Again Evangelism Church in Ruai, Nairobi.
The event was officiated by ArchBishop Dr.Harrison Nganga and attended by among others DCP leader Rigathi Gachagua.

The elevation marked the climax of a long spiritual journey for the popular preacher whose ministry has steadily grown from humble fellowship gatherings to one of Nairobi’s fast-rising evangelical churches with a strong following both physically and online.
Widely admired for his energetic preaching style and grassroots connection with ordinary worshippers, Bishop Maina has become a familiar figure in Kenya’s evangelical movement through crusades, prayer rallies and social outreach programs.

Sources close to Bishop Maina told DNK-International that he grew up in Central Kenya in a modest Christian family where faith and community values shaped his upbringing.
Friends and church members too describe him as a disciplined and prayerful man whose passion for ministry emerged while still young.

He pursued his early education locally before undertaking theological and pastoral studies specializing in Biblical teachings, evangelism and church leadership.
Before fully dedicating his life to ministry, the Bishop reportedly engaged in small scale business and community related jobs as he struggled to support both his family and growing Church work.
His ministry journey began through small prayer meetings in OTC area, open air preaching and evangelistic missions before he later founded the Born Again Evangelism Church in Ruai, which has since grown into a well known worship center attracting congregants from different parts of Nairobi and beyond.
Over the years, Bishop Maina wa OTC has built a reputation as a passionate soul winner, mentor and community mobilizer.

Through his ministry, he has championed youth mentorship, family counseling, charity support for vulnerable families and online evangelism that has attracted followers from across Kenya and the diaspora.
His sermons, often delivered in a direct and relatable style, have earned him admiration among believers who view him as a preacher deeply connected to the everyday struggles of ordinary Kenyans.
A Church member,Jane Wairimu said that senior clerics and spiritual mentors played a major role in motivating Bishop Maina wa OTC to remain steadfast in ministry despite numerous challenges during his early years as a preacher.
The Bishop has repeatedly credited prayer, humility and consistency as the pillars behind his success, often reminding followers that “God lifts those who remain faithful in difficult seasons,” one of his most memorable remarks that many believers associate with his life story.

The bishop is married to Pastor Esther Maina,who has remained actively involved in church leadership and ministry activities, with the couple being widely respected for their teamwork in advancing Christian teachings and family values.
Saturday’s consecration ceremony was attended by hundreds of worshippers, religious leaders and political figures, underlining Bishop Maina wa OTC’s growing influence within Kenya’s religious landscape.
Leaders who spoke during the event described his elevation as recognition of years of dedicated service, spiritual leadership and commitment to transforming lives through the gospel.
