Police in Mlolongo,Machakos county have arrested a 34 year old man accused of luring women with fake house help job offers before allegedly raping and robbing them.
So far 19 victims have come out to accuse the man with rape.
The suspect has been identified as Paul Sinino Wawire and is said to have targeted young women from different parts of the country by promising them employment opportunities.
Investigators say that the culprit tricked the women and took them to a house in the Kathangaita area near Amin Estate, where he raped them on various dates.
Detectives say the women reported being sexually assaulted and robbed of valuables after being deceived into believing they had secured domestic work opportunities.
Police further disclosed that at least 12 additional cases connected to the suspect are still under investigation.
The suspect was reportedly tracked down and arrested in the Buruburu area,Nairobi following investigations by officers from Mlolongo Police Station.
Police confirmed that he is expected to be arraigned in court facing seven counts of rape and two counts of robbery with violence.
