Police in Ruai,Nairobi have launched investigations on how a gang of about 15 men raided three godowns in the area and escaped with copper cables, generators and assorted metal bars valued at Sh20 million.
Officers responded to the incident yesterday after receiving information of a break in at godowns located in the Ruai Bypass St Joseph area.
Police said the suspects struck at around 6am, where they reportedly overpowered and tied up three watchmen before breaking into Godown No.1, 2 and 3.

The gang is said to have stolen about three tonnes of copper cables, assorted metal bars and two generators before fleeing the scene.
Preliminary investigations indicate the suspects escaped using a lorry whose registration details had not been established by the time of the report.
Detectives are currently reviewing CCTV footage captured at the premises as part of efforts to identify the suspects and trace the getaway vehicle.
The watchmen who were on duty during the incident are also being interrogated to assist investigators establish how the operation was executed.
Police said efforts to recover the stolen goods and arrest those involved are ongoing.
