The manna stopped the day after they ate this food from the land; there was no longer any manna for the Israelites, but that year they ate the produce of Canaan- Joshua 5:12
FOR forty years, the Israelites woke up to a miracle on the ground. Manna was the “bread of angels,” a daily reminder that God provides even in a wasteland. But when they finally stepped into the Promised Land, the supernatural buffet ended.
It’s easy to view the end of a miracle as a withdrawal of God’s hand, but in reality, it was a promotion.
The cessation of manna didn’t mean God stopped providing; it meant the season of “survival” had matured into a season of “harvest.”
We often cling to the “manna” of our past—old methods, comforts, or specific ways God used to move—fearing that if they stop, we’ll starve. But God is the God of all seasons. Whether He is raining bread from the sky or giving you the strength to plow the field, His providence remains the constant. If your “manna” has stopped, look around; it’s likely because it is time to eat the fruit of the land He promised you.
Is there a specific “transition” or ending in your life right now that feels more like a loss than a promotion?
