Officers attached to Kulamawe Police Station in Isiolo County on Tuesday conducted an anti-riot drill rehearsal aimed at enhancing operational preparedness and response to potential public order emergencies.
The exercise was led by Officer Commanding Station (OCS) Inspector of Police Kiprono Kirui and involved eleven officers who participated in various crowd control and rapid response drills.
According to the station report, other officers were unavailable for the exercise due to official duties, with four officers off duty, twelve deployed to outposts, three on attachment, and three on annual leave.
Police said the rehearsal was completed successfully without any incidents.
Following the exercise, officers were placed on standby to ensure swift deployment in the event of any emergency requiring immediate police intervention.
The drill forms part of routine preparedness measures aimed at maintaining law and order and enhancing the readiness of security personnel to respond to emerging security situations within the area.
