Police Officer on Transfer Arrested Over Mavoko Court Warrant

A police officer attached to the Critical Infrastructure Protection Unit (CIPU) has been arrested by officers from the DCI Homicide Unit following the execution of a warrant issued by the Mavoko Law Courts.

According to a report recorded at Muungano Police Station in Athi River,Constable Salim Idd, who had been scheduled for transfer to Likoni Police Station under was arrested yesterday.

Police said the arrest was effected pursuant to a warrant issued by the Mavoko Law Courts in connection with an inquest case.

The warrant was reportedly issued on April 16, 2026, following the officer’s failure to appear before the court.

Following the arrest, the officer was transferred to Embakasi Police Station pending further action by the relevant authorities.
