A man aged 38 has sustained serious injuries after being attacked by an elephant while grazing goats within a ranch area in Ganze, Kilifi County.
The incident occurred on Tuesday.
Police said the victim, identified as Abdi Sogow Hassan, was attacked while tending to goats.
He sustained injuries to his right ribs and a pelvic fracture.
He was initially rushed to Kilifi County Hospital for treatment before being referred to a hospital in Mombasa for specialised care.
The victim was reported to be in stable condition.
The incident was reported to police by his brother, Abdi Gahfar, a resident of Milore Sub-Location.
The case has been classified as pending investigations, with officers from the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) in Ganze Sub County handling the matter.
