Mau Mau group gives farmer’s killers Friday ultimatum before ritual

A group of Mau Mau fighters kin has issued a Friday ultimatum to the killers of prominent North Rift farmer Joseph Njuguna, demanding that they surrender themselves or face a ritual.

The warning was issued by members of the Mau Mau Veterans Associates, led by Chief Seer Munyori Kinyenje,Prophet Paul Mwangi Gatundu and Archbishop John Mwai, during a service held in honour of the slain farmer at the deceased residence in Endebess, Trans Nzoia County.

The group called on those responsible for Njuguna’s killing to come forward by Friday, warning that failure to do so would lead to the performance of a ritual against them.

The service was also attended by Jubilee gubernatorial aspirant for Trans Nzoia in the 2027 general election, Dorcas Njenga.

Njuguna was murdered on Sunday at his home in Endebess under circumstances that remain under investigation.

He will be buried at his Endebess farm on Saturday.
