Police in Nyali have arrested Kongowea Assistant Chief Charles Odana and two community policing members over an alleged assault that left a 56 year old man injured.
Odana was arrested alongside Julius Kanampiu and Kilo Odhiambo following a report of assault and causing actual bodily harm.
The complaint was lodged by Kenneth Kiprono Lagat, a resident of Kongowea area, who reported the alleged assault to police.
According to a police report, the arrests were carried out by undercover officers following directives from the Office of the ODPP.
The three suspects were escorted to Kongowea Police Station, where they were searched and placed in custody pending their appearance in court on Monday.
