Love Triangle:Woman Pours Hot Water on  Another in Kandara

A woman is fighting for her life at Maragua SubCounty Hospital after she was allegedly attacked with scalding hot water by a woman suspected to be her romantic rival.

The incident occured in Kabati Township, Kandara, Murang’a County.

From police reports seen by Daily NewsKenya-International, the incident occurred on Saturday at around 4.00pm.

It happened when the suspect, identified only as Becky, reportedly went to the victim’s house carrying a flask filled with hot water.

She allegedly poured the hot water on the victim’s chest and breasts, causing severe burn injuries.

The victim, identified as Emmily Wanjiku Maina, was rushed to a nearby clinic where she received first aid before being referred to Maragua Sub-County Hospital.

She was admitted in serious condition.

Police officers from Kabati Police Station who visited the scene established that the attack is believed to have been triggered by a love triangle dispute.

The suspect fled the scene immediately after the attack and remains at large.

Police have launched investigations and are pursuing the suspect spreading their search in Nairobi and Western Kenya where she hails from.
