A building standing on a piece of land contested between Ruthimitu Mixed Secondary School in Nairobi and a group linked to mostly deceased women members has been identified by the school fraternity as an alleged crime scene.
According to teachers and parents, the structure is reportedly being used by some students to smoke bhang, raising serious concerns over student discipline and safety.
The building, located at Gachui trading centre along Kawangware-Kikuyu road has become a source of anxiety for the school community, which claims its continued existence is negatively affecting learning and contributing to poor examination performance among students.

School officials argue that the proximity of the structure to the learning institution exposes students to harmful influences and undermines efforts to maintain a conducive academic environment.
Government authorities and area MP John Kiarie (Dagoretti South) have now been called upon to intervene, with appeals made for the demolition of the disputed building to curb alleged illegal activities and safeguard the welfare of learners.
The matter has also reignited debate over the long standing land ownership dispute, with stakeholders urging a speedy resolution in the interest of education and public order.
Ruthimitu Mixed Secondary is one of the excellent schools in sports performance in Nairobi County.
Its volleyball team in the recent years represented the country in schools games in Kigali,Rwanda.
