Ruto to launch Sh900M Busia stadium

By Our Reporter,Budalang’i.

Chants of “two terms” dominated the political atmosphere during the visit of President William Ruto in Busia County today with supporters loudly backing the President’s continued leadership beyond his current term.

The slogans echoed across gatherings attended by local leaders and residents as the Head of State continued his development tour of the region.

The tour, however, also triggered fresh political excitement following the growing visibility of Ababu Namwamba, Kenya’s Ambassador to Uganda.

His presence and renewed engagement with local politics have fueled speculation about a possible return to elective politics ahead of the next general election.

Political observers in Budalangi Constituency say Namwamba’s re-emergence has unsettled the area’s current Member of Parliament, Raphael Wanjala.

Analysts believe the ambassador’s growing influence signals an early build-up to a potentially intense contest for the Budalangi parliamentary seat in the upcoming polls.

Namwamba previously represented Budalangi in Parliament and still commands a notable support base in the constituency.

His perceived political comeback is seen by many as a major factor that could reshape the local political landscape.

As the political temperatures begin to rise, residents and leaders in Busia are closely watching the developments, which could set the stage for a fierce political battle as the country gradually shifts focus toward the next general election.
